Electronic mail address

You can write me at david (at) ddmdllt (dot) org.

As you probably guessed it, you have to replace "(at)" by the "@" symbol and "(dot)" by the "." symbol. (Such a mesure is here to reduce the amount of spam I receive)

Avoiding to have your email going into the spam folder

People I know personally may just skip this section, provided of course that they use their full real name in the email "Sender" information (near the email address). (If you use a pseudonym that you're sure I know it, that's ok too...)

If you take the time to write me an email, you should take the time to choose the subject line too!

If your name is unknown to me, the subject line may be the only line I read, in particular if my spam filters detect (by mistake) your message as a spam.

The rules for choosing a good subject are:

Thanks!

GPG (gnupg) public key

If you know what I'm talking about my key fingerprint is: 0DCB 4628 EEFE 0E42 EE9E 4A79 E18E 8066 5B4B 9B68

You can get my public key from keyservers or here.

Snail mail

At the day of 2009 April 13th, you can write me at the following address:

David Dallet
Bat S Chambre S334
Residence CAMUS - Cite Scientifique
59.650 Villeneuve d'Ascq
France

In case you need, please check this address just before sending anything. It may change. (You may prefer to ask me by email too...)

Phone number

Please contact me by email first!

Please note that my old +33 (0)6 33 56 XX XX number does not work anymore, and that the number +33 (0)6 34 XX YY ZZ will work only for a limited time (the SIM card being in my second phone). My current phone number looks like +33 (0)6 66 XX YY ZZ. If you want to get my new number, just ask by email (write who you are, and your own phone number).

IM (Instant Messenger), IRC (Internet Relay Chat)

If you know me, don't hesitate to ask me my IM addresses. Please note that I strongly prefer Jabber/XMPP/Gtalk over MSN Messenger/Windows Live Messenger.

I'm also frequently available on the freenode IRC Network. My nickname on it is "ddmdllt" (but please verify that you talk to an identified user).

If you are not able to know if I'm online or not with your IRC client, the channel I'm mostly in is #chtinux (the IRC channel of my LUG).

If you use IRC to contact me, please note however that I may not answer quickly if I'm busy, or that I may be away (without using the "away" status). The best is to start by writing something like "ddmdllt: online?" and to wait to see if I answer. If I'm not available at the time you're trying, don't hesitate to retry some time after, or write me an email.

If you're looking for that information (the French "LCEN" law says I should write it), please read the French version...
